A GHOST OF A TOUR

Ghost tours are all the rage throughout the U.S. and abroad, and Franklin’s ghost tour has been listed among the best. Folks love to heart a spooky story, and Franklin has plenty of tales, plus pictures that will simply amaze you.  This tour explores the ghosts that linger on the streets and in the historic buildings of historic Franklin. Departed socialites, a Civil War spy, failed businessmen, Confederate soldiers, and at least one dog roam downtown. We will tour the restored Lotz House while hearing stories of unexplained phenomena. You’ll hear of the women on a nightgown crying out for a loved one, a little girl staring out a window women’s voices (but there’s no one there) and ordinary items that just can’t stay put. When lives are cut short, sometimes spirits remain…and that’s what happened here. Visit the home described by the Travel Channel in 2012 as one of the “most terrifying places in America”. To wrap up the evening, we will visit Kilwins, located in the heat of historic downtown Franklin. Each guest may select a treat from fresh candies and chocolate treats, homemade ice cream or a caramel apple made right in the store.
