Quick Details

See the Historic Side of Tennessee on This Nashville Plantation Tour

Take a journey back in time to the early 1800s as you visit two of the most historic mansions in the Southeast – The Hermitage and the Belle Meade Plantation. Mansion admissions are included in the cost of this tour.

The Hermitage

The Hermitage, home to the seventh U.S. President Andrew Jackson, is the fifth most-visited Presidential home in the United States. Preservationists continue to use a number of scientific techniques to preserve, restore, and repair the mansion and the many other buildings on this 1,050-acre cotton plantation. Historians consider this the best-preserved early U.S. presidential home, and it is ready for you to explore just as it would have been in 1836.
Learn about the hero, the President, and the legend Andrew Jackson!

Belle Meade Plantation

Next, travel to the Belle Meade Plantation, located on rolling land that, in the 1800s, made up an estate of more than 2,500 acres in size. Once a world-renowned thoroughbred farm, the mansion is a beautiful example of Greek-Revival Antebellum architecture. Enjoy a narrated tour through the mansion by a guide in period clothing and explore other buildings on the grounds on your own. Complete the tour and the day with a wine tasting at The Winery at Belle Meade.

Lunch is on your own at Hermitage House Smorgasbord. Enjoy a full Southern-style buffet, including dessert, beverage, and tax. The cost is $12 for adults, $7.50 for children ages 6-11, and $4.50 for children ages 1-5. This special pricing is for Gray Line Tours guests only.
